Rosie and her Blessing Dress

A month or so ago, I made Rosie a blessing dress.
I finally got around to editing the pictures.  And I love them!  Although, I am partial.  :)

She is such a happy baby!  We love everything about her!

She is so dainty and precious.  Just like a porcelain doll...

And we have to add a pouting picture.  :)
Look at that little lip!

The dress fit her beautifully and I'm so glad!  The roses on the front of her dress and in her hair fit her name perfectly!  Our sweet little Rosie Grace!

EASY Toddler Bed Makeover!

We recently moved from Amarillo, TX to Mesa, AZ.
During our move my daughters bed got destroyed!  When I found this toddler bed at a yard sale I knew I had to redo it for my daughter.
This is the bed in my daughters room now!
It definitely fits her Shabby Chic room!

This is what the bed looked like when I bought it...
Pretty dinged up, but for $5 I couldn't resist.
We were actually lucky it made it home in one piece, because it blew out of my truck driving down the road!!

To redo the bed, I used Krylon Paint & Primer Spray Paint.  I roughly sanded the bed down and then went to town with the spray paint.
This bed actually used 3 cans of spray paint.  It was SUPER easy and definitely worth the $5!

Announcing the Arrival...

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Briana's newest little girl!

Rosie Grace Richardson
Born: 3/3/13
at 9:10 pm
6 pounds 13 ounces
20 inches long

Everything went perfectly and I couldn't be happier!  The labor and delivery was probably the easiest that I have ever had.  In fact, for those that know me, I have never had an epidural.   I even signed the papers to get one this time (it was the first time I had ever done that).  But she came so fast that signing the papers were pointless.  Oh well.

The doctors and nurses were great!  My husband didn't know what to do with himself because he is usually delivering the babies.  Now it was his turn (once again) to be the father.  We had little Rosie at the hospital Ben works for (he is an OB/GYN resident), so everyone knew us and were so excited!

My mom came and stayed with our other kids while I was in the hospital.  They loved having her there and didn't want her to leave!

She gets a lot of attention everyday and everyone waits in line just to hold her.  When my kids came to visit us in the hospital, my boys brought lotion and rubbed my feet.  Isn't that so sweet!

I will post more pictures of our family when we get them taken, hopefully next week!

She is due in May.  This year each one of us sisters will have a baby, so all of the cousins will be super close!  There will be 22 children between the 4 of us!

Bridget has 4 boys, so we have our fingers crossed for a little girl.  Bridget does not peak, so we will have to wait until May to find out.

Exciting News!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas Season so far! We are enjoying every party and concert that comes our way.

But on another note, I have some exciting news to share with you all!  I am expecting another baby!  I know that after looking at our family picture, you are probably doing a head count.  This will be our eighth baby and we're having a GIRL!  I am 29 weeks along and due at the end of February!

We had five boys at the beginning, with the twins being 12 years old now.  And my two little girls followed after all those boys.  Everyone is so excited for another girl!

Both Brooke and Brittany had babies a few months ago, so we are all excited to have another set of cousins all the same age!

A New Addition to the Family!

We had an exciting weekend!   We all attended the Gila Valley Stampede that our brother and sister-in-law put together.  It was a family type rodeo and so much fun!  There were gift certificates and belt buckles to be won and lots of action and cheering!  We are so grateful that they put this rodeo on every year and we all look forward to it!

But the highlight of the weekend was Brittany's new baby!  She left the rodeo an hour or two early to have her water broken and a few hours later, she had a beautiful baby boy!  We were actually pretty surprised because we were all expecting her to have a girl, but we love her little baby boy.

He was born November 3 at 5:41pm. He weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 inches long.  They named him Preston Reed Miner.

Congratulations to the Miner family!

Bamboobies Review and {GIVEAWAY}!

As many of you know, I had a little girl in August!
I LOVE having infants- they are SO sweet and pure!  Anyways, I try to nurse my babies as long as possible!
I LOVE nursing.
The only problem with nursing is sometimes it can be inconvenient.  There are times where you have to nurse in public, you have try to find "nursing" accessible outfits, nursing pads, etc.  I am always looking for products to make my life easier!
I recently came across Bamboobies which are breast pads which are SUPER thin, SUPER cute and work wonderfully!

I was completely thrilled when I was able to review Bamboobies!  I really do not like disposable pads, so I have been using just regular cotton breast pads.  The cotton pads work alright, but they are thick and not as comfortable as I would like.  I did not realize how thick cotton pads were until I received Bamboobies.

Bamboobies are made from layers of Bamboo and Cotton with a Hemp core.  Truthfully, I have not had ANY leaks with these pads and they are SUPER SOFT and THIN!
They are Heart Shaped- which makes it less visible and is really ADORABLE!  The regular pads come in the colors- Pale Pink, Hot Pink and Black.  I chose the Pale Pink.
I LOVE them!
Finally a product to make nursing attractive!
They also have a line of Nighttime Pads- which are more thick and extra soft for nights.  These would be especially helpful for new moms at night!

 Do you wanna try Bamboobies?

Bamboobies is offering readers of Babblings and More a two-pack of Bamboobies.  You will be able to choose between the regular Heart-Shaped Pads or the Nighttime Pads.
Even if you are not nursing, this would be the PERFECT gift for a new mom!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Bamboobies is also giving our readers a coupon code BABMO20 for 20% off your order!  Be sure to head on over to Bamboobies to check out what they have!
You won't regret it!

Product Review: GroVia Diapers

I recently received a Newborn Diaper from GroVia Cloth Diapers to review.  I was really excited because the cloth diapers that I use are pocket diapers which requires prep-work like stuffing an insert into the diaper.  The diaper that GroVia sent me is an All-In-One diaper which requires NO stuffing!
This is the diaper I choose- Newborn AIO Cloth Diaper in the Cloud color.

Here is my little girl modeling her GroVia diaper.

The thing I like the most about this diaper is the style and design.  The diaper is SUPER trim- it is WAY trimmer than my pocket diapers.  I also like how it goes BELOW my daughters belly button.  That is crucial in a newborn diaper because of the umbilical cord.  It even has snaps on the front of the diaper to make it go even lower if you need it to.

The materials the diaper is made of are extremely SOFT, so nice for your newborns skin.  The insert is made of 55% Hemp, 45% Cotton topped with 100% Polyester Microfleece which is extremely trim yet very absorbent

This is the perfect diaper for husband or grandparents who are new to cloth diapering.  You just snap the diaper onto your newborn and you are good to go.  It is extremely easy and there is NO stuffing, NO pins and NO covers needed!

I have used this diaper for about one month now and so far it has held up VERY well.  It looks NEW!  I have not had one stain which is very important to me in a diaper!  The durability of it seems to be great!

This is my first child that I have used cloth diapers for.  I have been completely shocked about how well cloth diapers hold in messes!  It seems like with my other two children I was constantly cleaning up HUGE blowouts and going through Spray-N-Wash constantly.  Since I have have been cloth diapering I have really only had one blow out.  I LOVE how well they hold everything in!  It is 100% better than disposable diapers!  This GroVia AIO diaper is no different.  It holds everything in very well and I do not have to worry about those HUGE messes everywhere!

I really surprised myself when I started cloth diapering.  I started doing it because I was completely tired of constantly having to buy disposables.  I am SO happy that I did!  I LOVE it!  If any of you have any questions for me about cloth diapering, just let me know and I will try to answer them.

If you are looking for Newborn Diapers- GroVia Cloth Diapers are a great option!
My little girl LOVES them!

DIY- Headband Holder

Now since I have two little girls, I have collected quite a collection of flowers, bows and headbands! Buying and making accessories for little girls really is addicting!  Having a place to put everything is definitely a challenge.  Here is a very easy way to store headbands.  The best part about it is that it did not cost me a thing!  I had everything at my house!
I don't know if you remember my Old Window Makeover, but I had some left over fabric from that window in their room.
Then I got a new roll of paper towels and rolled the material around it.
Then I just tucked the left over material in the paper towel holes.
This was SUPER easy and now I have my headband organized and it actually looks cute!

Homemade Baby Food

I have had a overload of squash from our garden.  There is NO way I could possibly eat it all of it.  So I decided to make some baby food and freeze it for later.
I first cut all of the squash in half and baked it until it was soft.  I bake it at 350 degrees for about one hour.
I let it cool down then I scraped out the squash on the inside and put it in a bowl.  Then I blended it all up with a hand blender.
Then you just fill up whatever containers you would like to use and stick them in the freezer.
I got the little containers at Walmart.  They were about 6 for $1.
  That's it!
